my computer had a problem and the cellphone died and the house
phone had a fault, I was greatly motivated to start work on raising our
garden beds.
concrete plates are made in a specially designed mould.
the plates are carefully transported to the site and put in place
some fill needs to be brought in to access the garden with some compost.
the truck gets stuck several times!
finally the compost can be spread , some sheep pellets will make the
soil richer - it smells like Canterbury!
And the weather is just as cold and wet -
a fence needs to be built against the greedy Pukekos who are just
waiting to pull the first seedlings out -
the /flowering japonica/ has the most beautiful red flowers in the
middle of the NZ winter , they are protected by vicious thorns -
2 extremes in one plant
nothing beats the scent of /stock /- you immerse yourself in the
seducing perfume as soon as you start walking down the path
/clivias/ and /azaleas /fill shady areas with so much vibrant colour
that there seems to be light coming out of the dark
