Taranaki Art Awards (2)

A second entry to the Taranaki Art Awards is an embroidered plate
made from leaf subjects with the title  /all you need is love /referring
to its heart centre

Taranaki Art Awards

One of the pieces I entered in the Taranaki Art Awards is a booklet
made from Hemp fabric, Harakiekie and embroidered leaves. The title /12
seasons /relates to different times of the year or in our lifes. I
particularly enjoyed using a rough free form to construct it.

Washing Time line

Russells Pompallier Attic space
by Helen Pick and Catrina Sutter and assiociates

Opening is on the Saturday of Queens Birthday afternoon, so if you feel
like joining the artists, have a glass of wine and watch the views
find your way along Russells waterfront to the very end and wander up
the garden path .
Experience the scents of the historic gardens and smells of the tannery,
past the ink stains of the printery
climb to the third floor into a 3rd dimension

The installation is about
history as a process of growth taken in different time periods
in the form of an evolving *washing time line*
created from early to modern mixed media.
