About me
Methods used:
Every project is carefully planned, sketched and finally built up in
layers. Materials used begin mainly as a plant, raw yarn or white cloth.
Through weaving, embroidery or manipulation they become a vessel or
picture, often representing abstract landscapes. A change of light or a
light breeze can bring movement into the densely textured surfaces.
A solid base holds the construction of layers before the finished piece
can be viewed on a wall or free form.

Cocktails of Europe
My ethnic background is made from the cocktails of Europe - I understand several languages -
I speak none of them without an accent.
Fibres talk to me in their own way, about where they come from, who
grew/made them, why, what for and other
messages can be read in all sorts of textures and colours and techniques.
Working as a gardener gives me the freedom to be in direct contact with
the raw materials.
